Begun in 2010, we invited all North Shore youth to submit their photographs of North Van Life for a special project launched under the Chester Fields umbrella. We asked these young photographers to give us little glimpses into the small, the special and the unseen parts that make the North Shore so special.
Eleven artists were chosen to have their work printed on vinyl and applied to various electrical boxes throughout the City and District of North Vancouver. These wrapped boxes have become standouts in their various locations, some reflecting their surroundings, like the leaf photographs by Michael Loder and Anais Kim at 23rd and Jones, while others demand attention for being something altogether different such as Cole Bazin’s psychedelic purple tree stump.
